Zone B-Harmon Street- Waite Street

27 Harmon Street- “Compton-Price Food Forest” Mostly natives and edibles, and certainly a work in progress! My kids are interested in selling some of their crafts (crochet, potholders) and fancy drinks made from what we’ve grown in the garden. Photos ok.

140 Harmon Street- “Dinosaur Garden”, Trex is the main attraction in the garden, but there are many other interesting ornaments in the former cherry tree, which now supports Virginia creeper (an important source of fat laden berries for the birds in the fall.) My pollinator garden has lots of native plants. White goldenrod, boneset, bloodroot, ostrich ferns, as well as zinnias and other non-natives. Photos ok.

67 Gordon Street- “Mostly Natives”, my gardening goal is to create habitat for insects, birds and other critters by planting mostly natives. Catbirds on the pokeweed, monarchs on the milkweed, and bees and wasps on the goldenrod all make me happy. And, of course, the plants are all exceptionally beautiful. Come visit!  Photos ok.

Zone C-Glen Pkwy- Haverford Street

59 Spring Glen Terrace- “Please Grow”, Just a fun mix of colors. Photos ok.

109 Santa Fe Ave-Working to get to 80% or more native plants, also have vegetables/fruit trees/berries. Lots of effort spent removing invasive plants. I try to garden to benefit wildlife. I have a lot of books on native plants and wildlife gardening. I can share which ones I think are best. No photos please.

132 Santa Fe Ave.-I'm excited to share these in-progress (mostly) native plant gardens. This July, the front sun garden should be in full bloom with yarrow, coneflowers, butterfly weed, coreopsis, blazing star, phlox, and hyssop. The side part-shade gardens may just be starting to bloom with rudbeckia and asters. Both gardens were designed to benefit pollinators. I'd love to answer any questions visitors have about native plant gardening or learn from neighbors with more experience on how to create beautiful and useful habitats. Beverages. Photos ok.

210 Santa Fe Ave- “Carrie's Garden”, Always a work in progress. trying to finish a pollinator garden addition and add some artwork.  Photos ok.

237 Santa Fe Ave- “Hydrangea Heaven”, Mixed perennials, woody ornamentals, hostas, and annuals. Photos ok.

15 Middle Road- “Our Urban Oasis”- Our urban garden offers areas of privacy and seclusion in harmony with nature. Here you will find sculptures, bird baths, bird houses, paintings and an assortment of adornments including a small in-ground fountain and groupings of terra cotta pots invoking a Mediterranean spirit. Underfoot are contoured paths of bluestone, bricks, pea stone, river wash rock and broken terra cotta chips. The torchlit paths take on an important dual role intended for both decoration and functional access to discrete areas of interest. A gated metal ivy-covered trellis overshadows a micro garden of juniper, hosts, pulmonaria, bleeding heart, sedum, creeping Jenny, snow on the mountain and vinca. Wooden fences serve as both visual blocks and artistic displays. Assorted metal furnishings provide several areas of seating inside this garden sanctuary. Beverages. Photos ok.
